Denizli İs The City That Produces The Most Towels And Bathrobes in The World.
Turkey meets 9% of the world's towel and bathrobe needs. In 2025, 76% of Türkiye's towel exports, 66% of bathrobe exports, and 61% of bed linen exports were from Denizli.
While our textile and ready-made clothing exports have decreased in the last three years, Denizli companies' exports in 2025 increased by 7% compared to the previous year, reaching $4.7 billion.
Exports were made to 183 countries from the city. Denizli firms sent their products mostly to the UK, the USA, Italy, Germany, and the Netherlands. In 2025, Denizli exported $412 million worth of towels to 108 countries, $250 million worth of bed linens to 96 countries, and $134 million worth of bathrobes to 91 countries.
Looking at these figures, there is no other city in the world where towel, bathrobe, and bed linen production is carried out so intensively. Therefore, with the aim of showcasing the brand power of our ancient city in towels and bathrobes to the whole world, it was decided that the Towel Expo Fair would be held in Denizli.
